The flap remains in the position by natural adhesion until the healing is completed.
Patients are usually given a course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory eye drops after the surgery. These are to be continued in weeks followed by the surgery. Patients are told to sleep dearly better and are also given a darkened pair of shields to protect their eyes from the bright lights.
